Fall Family Photos in Trinity Bellwoods

On one of the last golden days of fall, I spent the afternoon with a dad, his two energetic boys (12 and 9), and their loyal dog, wandering through Trinity Bellwoods. The leaves were still holding onto their colour, and the boys were full of energy — sprinting, wrestling, and laughing their way through the park.

We kept it relaxed, capturing moments as they naturally unfolded. The brothers played, joked, and occasionally pushed each other’s limits (as brothers do), with dad stepping in now and then to restore order. Their connection and joy were palpable — the kind of energy that makes photographing families so rewarding.

We paused for a few photos with a perfect skyline view, the CN Tower standing tall in the background. It was one of those clear Toronto days where the whole city seemed to show up just for us.

But the real magic happened when they lay down in the leaves. No poses. No directions. Just the three of them, faces toward the sky, surrounded by colour. Those turned out to be the most meaningful images of the day — calm, connected, and totally them.

These are the kinds of sessions I live for. Real moments. Real connection. And a little bit of seasonal magic.
