A Family Fun Day in Brockton: | Toronto Family Photographer
This documentary family session was a summer day with out-of-town family visiting, the cousins together again, and Grandma right in the middle of it.
We started at home with some baking. Grandma had the little ones at the counter, everyone was busy, and I stayed out of the way and photographed what happened. Then we went upstairs for stories and playtime in the playroom, which is where kids tend to be most themselves.
From there we headed to the park. The kids were at peak energy, so there were swings, the playground, a run through the splash pad, and plenty of adults being pulled into the fun. Everyone got involved, and nobody was asked to stand still.
We finished with ice cream at Moon Milk, a short walk away, which seemed like the right way to end the day.
This is what a good documentary session looks like: three generations, plenty to do, and a lot of moments that happen on their own. Nothing needed to be set up. The family just spent a day together, and I captured the moments as they unfolded naturally.
If you've got family in town, or just a day you'd like to remember, get in touch. We'll plan something around what your family actually loves doing.
